AND THE WINNER IS!

Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison was drawn as our first read. We had two suggestions of The Reading Rainbows for our book club name. We will meet again on February 25th at 2 p.m. Location to be decided later.

This book is available at Amazon.com in either hardback or paperback. It is also available in a Kindle edition and at Audible.com.

Happy Reading/Listening!

Can we get some Blessins'?

Dear Folks,

It's been a rough week (or two) and I've been so busy I'm not sure which end is up! I'm planning and hosting my son's wedding which is less than a month away and, so far, no sign of help from her family - not so much as a returned phone call. Oh well, so much for wedding etiquette. (I'll throw some good blessings their way.) The wedding will be small, intimate and beautiful, nevertheless. But still, lots to do and much to think about. He is my baby boy after all - it will be done up right!

So today, I'm working on a big old batch of healin' and blessin'. I'm thinking it will turn into my week's workings. Here's why:

1. My parents are both struggling with some serious and ongoing health issues.
2. My brother, bless his heart, struggles with HIV and food allergies.
3. A friend's grandson (we'll call him Little L) just diagnosed with leukemia.
4. The Strivelli Family who is struggling with religious discrimination.
5. A cousin who was just diagnosed with cancer and will be starting radiation next week.

and...then there's me! Yep - I've finally hit the wall with some shouder/neck problems I've been having. I broke down and went to my ortho doctor last week for some shoulder pain, had an MRI, and it wasn't a pretty picture. We've been watching this bone spur on my spine (C5-6 for those who know the area) for about 4 years. Well, it's now grown to the point we can't just watch it anymore. Plus, in the same area, I have a herniated disk. I go to see a neurosurgeon this month and my spine doctor next month. Sounds worse than it is I'm sure - we're just covering all the bases.

So for all the above (and many I'm sure I've missed), I'm asking that you pull out your candles, herbs, meditations, prayers and blessings and send healing, courage, and strength to those who need it, knowledge to the doctors who do the treating, and love to the families who need support. And if there is anyone that you'd like me to add to my list, just leave a message here, call me, or hollar at me via FaceBook.

Namaste', Love and Light!
