Yule and Other Merry Things!

We will be celebrating Yule at Nefer-Per-Netjer on Dec. 21st. Ritual will start at 7 p.m. followed by a spaghetti dinner! We are asking everyone to bring a donation to the Cabot Animal Shelter. If you need ideas, contact me directly. Dress warm and wear good shoes! It will be cool and damp!

As I was putting together the ritual for Yule, I recalled last year's Yule. Will and I lead ritual. We enlarged the Circle last year as Fran had to stay on the porch with Les. She was far too weak and couldn't go without her oxygen. I'll never forget that sight. Later on that evening, Fran told me that she was comforted by what she saw and she was confident that Nefer-Per-Netjer would go on without her. It has.

This year has been a roller coaster. Those who stuck by Trentian and I know just how hard we've worked. And those same folks know how humbling and spiritually fantastic it has been. However, I believe, as a Church, we have ended the high side. We've added two new members and we've gone from 2 in Circle to as many as 25! Trentian and I have worked hard together this year to keep things positive, moving in the right direction and carrying on. Les has been there, right beside us, pushing us forward and walking his walk. One of my most memorable sights this year was at Samhain - seeing Les come out of the house in a ritual robe (a first) with his face painted green and a huge smile on his face. "I'm ready!" he said. Beltane Eve night was also fantastic - severe storms surrounded us - yet Nefer was the most beautifully calm place on Earth! Fran has been with us all through this year. In her special way, she makes herself known. We are truly blessed.

I look forward to the coming year with excitement. I said the other day, "The more I get done - the more there is to do!" My calendar is full and I am happy - sometimes I wonder what kept me busy before meeting Fran and becoming a part of Nefer-Per-Netjer.

I want to thank all of those beautiful folk who have made this past year worth it ALL! We've struggled, we shared tears and laughter, we've had heated discussions, formed new friendships, dealt with good and bad, negative and positive - and we've survived!

Namaste' and many Yuletide Blessings!

November News...

Actually it's pretty quiet around here!  We had a small group for Full Moon this past week, but the energy was great, as always. We lit only the torches and with the Moonlight, it was very bright! The Temple is changing colors and the pine needles are falling to serve as a blanket for all the plants and trees through the Winter months.

Trentian and I put the Temple to sleep yesterday and visited for a while to discuss the future - World Pantheon, workshops, rituals, etc. It's going to be a pretty quiet up until Yule (Dec. 21st), but things will pop back in to high gear after January.

I did a healing spell this morning. I don't ususally share these, but felt compelled to share this one. Have another to do, but saving it for later in the day...

Blessings to you All!

Sharing my Friend with You!

One of my most special witchy friends is Carolina Gonzales. I have followed her blog and Etsy store for quite some time now. I'd like to share her with you all too! She does lovely work, both crafty and magickal! Her handmade, one of a kind jewelry and magickal tools are beautiful! She, and her husband, Fernando, also do a lot of charity work. Their projects consist of crocheting/knitting items for people in need, mostly children, local and global. Fernando is a wonderful wood crafter! You should see his work! You can find them at: http://magickshop.wordpress.com/

Her blog also lists her Etsy, new Zibbet and Herbal shops! Please visit her - you won't be disappointed!

Much love and blessings!

Busy weekend!

So much going on the latter part of the week. Today is my Dad's birthday! He's such a wonderful man and I am going to see him after work tonight. Tomorrow (10th) is Full Moon, but we are going to celebrate Full Moon on Friday night, along with Lady Isis' Birthday and Shibaten and Aimi are getting married this evening also. We'll be lighting special candles for all of them! I'll try to have camera in hand and take a few photos to post. We're hoping the clouds clear away and we have a beautiful Moonshine night!

Some of you may know that I've been hobbling around on my left foot for a couple of months now. (I've been trying to hide that!) I've been diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma. Nothing serious. Morton's neuroma involves a thickening of the tissue around one of the nerves leading to your toes. In some cases (mine), it causes a sharp, burning pain in the ball of your foot. Toes also may sting, burn or feel numb (for sure). So I've not been to the gym OR yoga which is really the worst part! I visited my new foot doctor yesterday and we are going to try steroid injections (owie!) for a while. Took the first one yesterday and will take another (if needed) in a month. If the injections don't work at all - the last resort is surgery to take the nerve out. NOT on my list of favorite things to do next year!

I'm still looking for interested folks for classes/workshops beginning after the first of the year. They'd be held here locally in Cabot/Lonoke area. I'm working on the Pagan Book Club also, I have about 5 ladies interested. If you can be here in person, it will be so much more fun! Those that would like to attend via email or this blog, we're going to work that out also.

Well I'd better be off here and ready myself for another work day!

Full Moon blessings!

Samhain 2011

We had a lovely group of folks for Samhain! Our celebration went quite well! We tried some new things which kept everyone on their toes, including me! We kept spirits high and loud with lots of movement, music and fire! There was some drumming, a little dancing, and lots of time by the fire and I do believe "Jack" made his presence known several times throughout the night along with a few others. The weather was wonderful - clear skies with the beautiful crescent Moon and cool (but not cold) temps kept us in tune with the season. We enjoyed the company of old and new friends and the night ended late with most everyone going home with a full belly!

Thanks to all who helped with the potluck Feast! From what we saw, our Beloved Dead ate well!

Special thanks to Aaron M. for help with moving sand and chopping firewood on Saturday, and also firetending during rituall; also to Morgan and Jon for donating the pumpkins!

Wanted to share this photo (taken by Morgan) of Fran's Memorial Wall in front of the fire Monday night. Quite special!

Upcoming Events:  Full Moon ritual on November 10th - 7ish p.m.
Yule Ritual - December 21st - Details will follow in a few weeks!

Many Blessings for the New Year!

Pagan Ladies Book Club!

So far, I've got 4-5 interested in the Book Club! That's a good start! Once I get in touch with everyone and we get a solid group of ladies, we will set up some guidelines, discuss locations, times, how often, and, of course, decide on a process for choosing Books. There is some interest from out-of-state ladies and I thought that we'd try to keep them informed via email and/or this blog - I'll have to figure that out - not sure it will work to their benefit just yet. We can discuss this at our first meeting.

Check back soon for updates! Blessings to All!

A Pledge to Pagan Spirituality

A pledge:

I am a Pagan and I dedicate myself to channeling the Spiritual energy of my inner self to help and to heal others and myself.

I know that I am part of the Whole of nature. May I grow in understanding of the Unity of all Nature. May I always walk in balance.

May I always be mindful of the diversity of Nature as well as its Unity. May I always be tolerant of those whose race, appearance, culture and ways differ from my own.

May I use my psychic powers wisely and never use it for aggression or for malevolent purposes.

May I never use it to curtail the free will of others.

May I always remember that I create my own reality and that I have the power within me to create positivity in my life.

May I always take responsibility for my actions be they conscious or unconscious.

May I always act in honorable ways, being honest with myself and others, keeping my word whenever I have given it, fulfilling all responsibilities and commitments I have undertaken to the best of my abilities.

May I always remember that whatever is sent out returns magnified to the sender. The forces of Karma will move swiftly to remind me of my spiritual commitments when I have begun to falter from them. May I use this Karmic feedback to remain strong and committed to my Spiritual ideals in the face of adversity or negativity. May the force of my inner Spirit eliminate all malevolence directed my way and transform it into positive light. May my inner light shine so strongly that malevolence can not even enter my realm of existence.

May I continually grow in wisdom and understanding. May I see every problem that I face, as an opportunity to learn and grow and to develop spiritually.

May I act out of love for other beings on this planet -- to other human, plants, animals, mineral, elementals, spirits or other entities.

May I ever be mindful that the Goddess and God in all their forms dwell within me and that this divinity is reflected through my own Inner Self, my Pagan Spirit.

May I always channel love and light through my being. May my inner Spirit, rather than my Ego self, guide all my thoughts, feelings and actions.

So Mote It Be.

Welcome!

If you are here, then you have some interest in Nefer-Per-Netjer! Thanks for visiting! With all of the changes on FaceBook, I decided to create a blog just for Nefer-Per-Netjer, its members, and any others who might be interested in keeping up with the goings-on of our Pagan church. This blog will serve as the “website” for Nefer-Per-Netjer and World Pantheon School of Witchcraft. Some of the information you will find here will include: Information on upcoming rituals for Sabbats and Esbats, discussions, workshops, school/class information, updates and photos on work in the Temple, and general information on Paganism. Comments to posts are always welcome as long as they are positive, helpful and uplifting. Also, you can "Follow" our blog if you have a Google and/or Yahoo account.

For more information on our Temple, please read the "About Me" section. You may also email me at Nefer_Per_Netjer@yahoo.com. And, of course, you can find us on FaceBook by searching Isis's Nefer-Per-Netjer.

As for current news - we are having Mabon ritual at the Circle on September 23rd at 7 p.m. At that time, we will be dedicating Michelle and Aaron, celebrating the story of Persephone and Hades and feasting. Trentian, our High Priest, and I will be traveling to Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs to release Lady Isis's Water ashes in the waterfall. Members are invited to make the trek. Sunday, September 25th, I will be traveling to Quitman, Arkansas for a women's ritual at 11:00 a.m. Busy! Busy!

Many blessings to you at Mabon!
